Educational Projects

In June 2023 we organised 60 children from Settle and Kirkby Malham Primary Schools to visit Hill Top Farm in Malham, to learn about Curlew.

This was followed by a creative day in each school led by a two artists and Curlew Action. Poems, paintings, information posters and felted quilts depicting our landscape were created and collated to be part of a touring exhibition in the Yorkshire Dales.

The Cry of the Curlew

To ensure a strong, cohesive community involvement a short video was produced with Colin Price, from Long Bank Farm and William Dawson from Bleak Bank Farm, both key farms in the Clapham Curlew Cluster.

This was very important to ensure the farmers in our community have their voices heard with their knowledge and experience shared.
