The Clapham Curlew Cluster was set up by a group of 12 farms and 18 volunteers in March 2022, in partnership with RSPB.
In 2026 a total of 23 farms were surveyed by 34 volunteers in the area between Ingleton and Settle, North Yorkshire.
26 Curlew nests were located during the 2026 season , 12 of which were protected with a temporary electric fence erected by our trained volunteer fencing team.
The nests that were protected by an electric fence had a 71% increase in hatching rates compared with the unfenced nests.
